Returns

We hope you are happy with your purchase, however if you are not, and you want to return your item(s), Ocean View offers a standard returns policy for your online orders.

You have 14 days from receipt of your online order to let us know that you want to return your item(s). The item(s) need to be back with us no later than 28 days from the day you received them.

These standard terms allow 28 days in total from receipt of your order for the item(s) to be back with us. If you do not contact us with these 28 days from receipt of your item(s), we cannot accept the item(s) for return.

To be accepted for return, the item(s) MUST be unused, with the tags still on if applicable, in a saleable condition, in the original packaging.

The original purchaser needs to request the return, with your receipt, or proof of purchase.
Please include a copy of your order form, with your reason for return, if applicable, in your parcel.

Please note, there are some items that we cannot offer this return policy for.
We cannot accept returns for made-to-measure equipment.
Items that have been personalised or customised for you.
Prescription Masks.
End of line items that we cannot replace.
Equipment that we cannot obtain parts for.
The only exception to this is if there is a manufacturer warranty issue.

 

Refunds if approved

Once your goods reach us, we will inspect them.
If all of the above return conditions are met, we will refund the cost of the item(s) to your original payment method.
We aim to process your refund within 14 days of our receipt of your returned item(s) into our centre.
The original postage costs are non-refundable.

 

We reserve the right to refuse a refund in the following circumstances:

If the items are not in their original condition.
If the item has been used.
If the item is damaged.
If the item is not resalable.
If it is apparent that the item has been broken, and an attempted repair made.

In these circumstances, to return the item back to you, there will be a postage fee at your cost.

 

Restricted / Partial Refunds

There are specific situations where we may reserve the right to offer a partial refund only.
If an item was showing as not in stock, and we created a special order for you, we reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee, this amount will be deducted from your refund.

 

Sale Items

Our standard returns procedure stands for sale items.

 

Exchanges

If your order turned out to unfortunately not be quite right, for example you ordered the wrong size, we can offer an exchange, please return the item in the usual way and let us know what you'd like in its place, if the new item is less in value than the original, we will add a credit to your account to be used toward postage of the second item, or on a future purchase. This exchange service does incur a new delivery cost. 

 

Faulty Items

We do our best to package items securely, but unfortunately sometimes an item may get damaged in transit, or doesn't work quite as it should. Upon receipt, if your parcel/package looks damaged please take photos and make a note of this with the courier when accepting delivery. It is advisable to take a picture of any damage before you open the package, then check the contents once opened. If this is the case, please email us as soon as you get the damaged parcel and send us the photos. 

If an item is faulty, please email us at shop@oceanviewdiving.co.uk to let us know what is wrong and send any photos to show us the fault. We will then liaise with you to organise its return and replacement or refund. Once the item has been inspected to confirm the fault, we will cover the return fee, either by organising a collection or refunding your postage costs this will be determined when you advise us of the fault, if the item is deemed in full working order upon return, we will deduct an postage fees, or arrange the item to be sent back to you at your cost

 

Returning your item

Cost of return: You are responsible for the cost of the return postage.

Please carefully package your item, ensuring that it will reach us in the unused, resalable condition required for the above returns procedure. Do not write on, or mark the original manufacturers packaging as this renders the item un-saleable.

We recommend using a postage/delivery service provider that is tracked with adequate insurance, to ensure that we receive your retuned item(s), in the required condition.

We cannot be held responsible for items in transit, or items that do not reach us, we are only responsible for the items once they arrive back at our centre.

If items arrive back to us damaged in transit, we reserve the right to refuse a refund, and return the items back to you at your cost.

Please remember to include a copy of your receipt, or proof of purchase (your order form usually covers this) with your reason for return, if applicable, in your parcel.
